Heist Recordings
Detroit Swindle, a music duo with a love of puns and gangster allusions, wanted a diamond for the logo of Heist Recordings – their musical imprint. To show them that this approach would never ever work, due to the diamond’s bling bling connotations, I sketched up what they wanted and somehow we hit something that turned out to be a genuine diamond in the rough.

After a black period, we embraced the rainbow with a full color pack of releases and a series of colour-coordinated photography-based releases. As a tribute to Peter Seville’s ‘Power Corruption & Lies’ design for New Order, the photography’s colour-coding is placed as pixels on top of the images. Its quite the colorful bunch those Heist guys.
