In cycling the ‘meesterknecht’ is the person whose role in the team isn’t to win the race but help the team leader on their way to victory. This was the position that a cycling shop of the same name assumed in its brief but glorious existence.

Meesterknecht was a place where prestige and support for the racing cyclist were combined with a friendly personal touch. The store’s simple identity reflected the owners’ ethos of having a customer’s back and pushing cyclists forward to whatever their goal may be.
